ARTIST STATEMENT
I paint remembered places as they become dreamlike and unfamiliar. Childhood landscapes, water, birds, and overgrown plants recur in my work, carrying traces of people and moments I have loved. Memory keeps some details sharp and lets others change. I follow that shifting quality through layered color, altered space, and forms that seem to grow or move. My paintings hold beauty and loss together, inviting viewers to find their own stories within these imagined places.
